Make people feel welcome in your store by simply smiling. The effect of this could lead to customers feeling comfortable with approaching you with questions or suggestions.

Empathise

What we mean here is that although a customer may not always truly be right in what they are saying or demanding but they are a customer and customers keep businesses running. This translates into making sure the customer goes away feeling happy with the conclusion of a conversation.
