Google Street View hit the UK in March and Scunthorpe was one of the 25 towns in the UK which has been included, which means that the HBP Systems head office can now be ‘virtually’ visited.

The map means that users can not only see the standard top down version of the street map, but can now go into the map and look around. The picture above shows how the HBP Systems head office looks from just one angle, but you can walk up and down Woodhouse Road and zoom in to the front of the building.

There are plans to extend the service to many more towns around the UK, but currently Scunthorpe is part of an exclusive group with just 9 other countries around the world included in the service.
 

Pictures for Google Street View were taken from last summer using cars equipped with special cameras which can blur faces and car number plates.
