Scunthorpe-based IT solutions provider HBP Systems will be inviting its customers and local companies to visit its offices on Woodhouse Road for its annual Christmas Open Day on Friday, December 12.

The day will not only be a chance to see the products and services which HBP Systems has on offer, but the Christmas-themed day also means visitors will be treated to mince pies, mulled wine and a goody bag before they leave.

The event follows on from the success of similar events held by HBP Systems in December 2007 and in June this year.

Both days proved to be a huge success and showcased products and computerised solutions such as accounting software, customer relationship management software, digital telephones and IT support services, all of which will also be on display at this year's event.

In addition to the relaxed format which enables visitors to come and go during the day, for the first time a series of scheduled presentations will be taking place throughout the day.

These presentations will begin with accounts software provider Pegasus, which will demonstrate the uses of its award winning Opera II software, before a digital telephony presentation from Avaya and a look at the Sage 200 Suite from accounting giants Sage.

Customer relationship management software will also be explained and demonstrated by ProspectSoft and Sage, and HBP Systems will also take centre stage to explain web-based technologies such as email marketing, search engine optimisation and web design.

In addition to these events the experts from HBP will be joined throughout the whole day by their suppliers in order to talk to visitors about their IT requirements and to demonstrate software in a relaxed and personal environment.

As well as the companies presenting, experts from accounting providers IRIS Exchequer, IT network specialists D-Link and HBP's sister company Copier Systems Ltd, a Barnsley-based company which specialises in document management and digital reprographic equipment, will all be present.

Although these events have previously been targeted towards HBP Systems' existing customers and suppliers, this year it has been opened up to all companies in the local area and invitations and information will be sent out in advance of the event to explain the day even further.

The day's events begin at approximately 9.30am.
